Tìm Bạn Bốn Phương
Vietnamese singer Nhat Son (Ca sĩ Nhật Sơn) was born the 29th of August 1981 in Hồ Chí Minh City - Việt Nam under the name Vũ Minh Sơn.
As a child of 6 years old he already started to perform on stages all over the country, together with his sister ca sĩ Kiều Nhi, singing traditional Vietnamese music, and he was quite successful with that. His stage name at that time was Ca sĩ Cảnh Sơn. He performed with a group of famous singers and comedians: Siu Black, Duy Ngọc, Duy Phương, Hương Loan, Ngọc Thành, and many others. Well-known himself he become with the songs ‘Lòng mẹ’ (Ngọc Sơn) and ‘Còn thương rau đắng mọc sau hè’ (Bắc Sơn).
At the age of 14 his voice started changing - like any other boy - and he had to stop singing for a while.
At 19 he realised that singing is his life and he could never do anything else better than that, so he took singing lessons again and wanted a new career in the Vietnamese music business, under a new name: Ca sĩ Nhật Sơn. Not singing traditional anymore, but Vietnamese POP-music.
Starting on small stages, again travelling around the country, but climbing up to a higher level. Wanting to show Vietnam a full comeback as a mature singer, and so it happened. Meeting the right people at the right time: Art adviser Đoàn Minh Tuấn and a producer from Holland Winfried Povel.
At the end of 2006 he recorded his first album ‘Tôi vẫn hát’ (I still sing), which was released in January 2007. An album with 2 famous composers Nguyễn Nhất Huy and Hoài An, who both believed in his talent. Arranger Lý Huỳnh Long made the arrangements for the songs, and played them with his band, and everything was recorded in the Việt Hung Studio in HCMC. The album contains 10 songs and from 3 were made video clips by two famous directors: Đoàn Minh Tuấn and Lâm Lê Dũng.
10 Days after releasing this album there was a big Live-show in Nhà Thi Đấu Nguyễn Du, HCMC, to present himself to the audience again. Lâm Lê Dũng directed that show. 3000 People joined it, and it was recorded on tape, to be broadcasted on t.v. all over the country. A few months later the live DVD of that show was released.
In January 2008 his second album ‘Vết tình’ was released. 10 New songs composed by Đỗ Đình Phúc & Lý Huỳnh Long, with all the same musicians and same crew.
In the meantime he was in several TV-shows like ‘Quà tặng trái tim’, ‘Gặp Gỡ Ngôi Sao’, ‘Saigon Teen’, ‘Teen Pop’, ‘Thế Giới Âm Nhạc’, ‘Trò Chuyện Với Ngôi Sao’, ‘Nhịp Cầu Nghệ Sĩ’, and many others, for National and Regional Television, and he performed on the big stages of HCMC like Lan Anh and Trống Đồng.
